On a cold Thursday night in February we went to see the Smashing Pumpkins at The Nottingham Arena. I have been a big fan for many years and took this opportunity to see them as they don't tour very often and had split up and then reformed a few times. The band started off well and played some classic songs such as 'Tonight, Tonight', 'Today' and '1979'... but it would appear that the band weren't in a good mood that night and they left the stage after playing '1979' and didn't return. They still had around 10 songs to play according to the setlist, but obviously decided they had had enough... disappointing, but nevermind. |
